The Black plague was from fleas on mice.

If the Native American tribe now referred to as &quot;Navajos&quot; (Dine) would have not been nomadic, they would have spread a similar disease to the Europeans.  There was an incident in the early 1990&#039;s......many Navajo died, from a similar disease.....and actually a Eurpean man visiting got the disease...

you can see that when there are natural disasters and wars...people in camps die of choleara...and the like</description>

		<description>The best diet I have seen is Dr. Joel Fuhrman&#039;s &quot;Eat To Live&quot;.  It is based on the foods with the highest nutrient density.  The six minute video linked below has a chart of about 100 common foods, listed in order of most to least nutrients per calorie.  If you concentrate on the top 30 to 40 foods you&#039;ll have to be healthier.  Hint: the foods that are most nutritious are vegetables, fruits, seeds and nuts.

The eating program has a lot of salads and homemade vegetable soups.  As he points out, you can be a vegan and get most of your calories from grains and oils, and that can&#039;t be healthy.

The beauty of the diet is that when you provide your body with the fiber, vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and other nutrients it needs, you won&#039;t be hungry.

In addition to the foods on the list, I use a lot of unsweetened flaked coconut.  It is high in fiber, low in available carbohydrate and it tastes good.  The only grain I use is oat bran.  I make a hot cereal with oat bran, unsweetened coconut, flax seed, stevia and a hand full of raisins.  

Are you familiar with stevia?  Dr. Michael Dansinger MD, the medical adviser for the &quot;Biggest Loser&quot; TV show, wrote an article pointing out some of the advantages of adding stevia to your diet.</description>

usually i just cut back on starchy carb intake. less bread,rice,pasta,cereal.
if you want to lose weight fast then you would have to cut back too much and it would be noticeable.
but just cutting back a little here and there at each meal and you could lose wieight without it being obvious.
i lose 1/2lb a week just by cutting out a small amount here and there. it doesn&#039;t sound like much but i it would add up to 26lbs in a yr. and i only want to lose 10.</description>
